2024 Fairwell Festival Was A Lesson In Excellence!
Attending the 2024 Fairwell Festival as part of a small group of music media and rock photographers was more than fair, it raised the bar!
Music Fan Magazine was granted the awesome opportunity to cover the 2024 Fairwell Festival in Redmond, Oregon, this past weekend. Let me tell you, this three-day event was packed with the best new and known artists, including headliners CAAMP, Kacey Musgraves, and Billy Strings. That was after a full day of other up-and-comers, with sets starting at noon and running until 11 p.m.
Now in its second year, the Fairwell Festival has already cemented itself as a high-performing festival, earning high praise from artists that Music Fan Magazine interviewed and all the patrons (except the kid parking cars...he was having no more of the sun that was cooking attendees at a medium broil of 100 degrees on day 1 and 2) But...the festival management had already solved that problem with "hydration stations" spread around the venue, which was the Deschutes County Fair Grounds, so nobody went without hydration.

What a well-organized arrangement this was, even when a rain storm paused Sunday afternoon sets across three stages...the organizers calmly moved everyone indoors, where the artists entertained the crowds for 30 minutes with acoustic sets until the weather passed. It was like the best campout you have ever been to...but it had better music and great cocktails and beer to help wash the dust down.
